Take this trail (walk, cycle or bus) between Perrott's Folly and Sarehole Mill and enjoy many of the places connected with the world renowned author, J.R.R. Tolkien during his time in Birmingham between 1895 and 1911.

The City's squares are connected with direct and pleasant pedestrian links and they portray a city that recognises the value and importance of its history and heritage whist maintain a vision of growth, creativity and innovation. Duration of the trail if walking: 3 hours.

This wonderful trail is along the former Harborne railway line between Harborne and Summerfield Park. There are many places to join this walk, although for the purpose of this trail we will join at the Harborne end.  In total, it is 1.5 miles long.

We want to see you explore Lozells and discover untold stories by yourself or with your friends & families.

Recently, local street artist Mr Bunny Bread (CREATENOTDESTROY) has been designing, illustrating and installing outdoor art murals in the Lozells area, to promote community cohesion, culture and a collective voice.
